Conley’s Rack Up Handful of Top Five Efforts During Busy Memorial Day Weekend!

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) The Conley Motorsports, Inc. team recently completed a huge weekend (May 24-26) of racing action in southern Ohio and accumulated five Top Five finishes and two additional Top Ten performances! Rod Conley led the charge for the #71 teams, as he entered Dirt Late Model events at the Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio and the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. On Friday night at Moler, Rod won his B-Main before charging to fourth in the $2,000 to win ADRA main event to finish behind only winner Duane Chamberlain, John Whitney, and Chad Stapleton. "Hot Rod" then racked up a pair of runner-up efforts at PRP, as he finished behind only $2,000 winner Ben Adkins on Saturday and $5,000 'Gator 50' victor Jackie Boggs on Sunday.

R.J. Conley competed at the Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio on Friday evening and in the 'Gator 50' at Portsmouth on Sunday. On Friday, R.J. qualified well and finished third in the dash to earn the inside second row starting spot for the $2,000 to win, unsanctioned feature event. The Wheelersburg ace eventually claimed a third place finish in the A-Main behind only winner Jackie Boggs and runner-up Steve Lucas. At PRP on Sunday, R.J. won his heat race in preliminary action before driving up to fourth in the 50-lap main event.

Delmas Conley, the patriarch of the racing Conley family, was only in competition at Portsmouth over the busy Memorial Day holiday weekend. The Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer tagged the tail of the $2,000 to win feature on Saturday - after attending his granddaughter's graduation - and rallied to an eighth place performance. In Sunday's finale at PRP, Delmas ran second in his heat race prior to finishing sixth in the final rundown of the 'Gator 50.'
