    Default Front Springs on a metric 3300lb car

    I have always ran a heavy rf spring. Im going to try running a heavy lf spring. what is the logic behind the heavier lf than rf. What rates should i start at with a 3300lb car?

    lets the car roll on the rf so it will unload the lr and turn...1100 lf 1000rf..kinda also depends on weight percentages..

    What kind of percentages goes along with the front spring swap billy?? Thinking about trying it to c what happens!!

    the stiffer lf will tighten entry NOT help it turn. it will unload the lr causing more rr on entry

    Ok guys im confused. Im already tight going in. How can you loosen up going in without affecting middle off?

    im at 900lf 1000rf 250lr 175rr. should i soften the rf along with the lf to keep it at a 100lb split? what combination would you recommend? im 52.7 left 53 rear 54.4 cross 300 lbs bite

    with that much bite you need to get the cross way up, do a search under "cross" and there is a good post on the high bite setup

    i have found that there are different ways of getting a car to turn....you can drag the lr when OFF throttle and the car will slow and turn....or you can UNHOOK the lr while ON the throttle also making the car turn as long as it develops enough sidebite that it doesnt knock the wall down....cars on the gas and not sliding up seem to be faster at our track then cars slowing down in the corners to turn....im just giving my ideas,and also would like to note that the more people you listen to,,the more different ideas you will get...make an educated guess about what you should apply to your situation and tell yourself how to fix what the car is doing for you the way you are driving it....others may setup and drive different.

    Original poster has never said what problem he is trying to fix. Only thing ever said was "tight going in". Fix that first.

    For that, I'd keep adding bite until the car gets balanced going in, then work on center and off if any problems there.
