    Default Exhaust Tips

I am running a 1995 SOHC Neon. Our car seems quite compared to others that we race against and I am looking for some advice as to what I can do with the exhaust and muffler. Here are the rules:

Must be completely stock to car being used.
Must have factory manufactured muffler of some kind.
No headers. If your car came with headers take them off.
Exhaust must run under car and exit at rear of car and be seen at rear of car. No side or out of body side exhaust allowed.
A speck muffler might be put in the rules at a later date. Catalytic converter can be removed.

We have the cat converter removed. What can we do to get a little more HP out of her?

Well since they said "Stock" and not "OE" I would put some sort of Magnaflow or Flowmaster exhaust on it from the manifold back, or cat back. At least put some sort of HP muffler that fits the car on, other than that you are pretty limited on what you can do.

Just an idea, but I would consider running straight pipe off the manifold to a Supper trap muffler in the back. The supper trap is most commonly used on crotch rockets but is also used on drag cars. It has tuneable discs that can be added and removed to adjust back pressure. I would look for a used one on Ebay and try it.
