help with cam choice
I have narrowed down to two cams. For a 3200# street stock we have to either pull 15" vacuum @ 1000 rpm, or we can run any cam under .480 lift or below and not have to worry about vacuum. I have eq 180cc heads, edelbrock 2701 , 4412 500cfm carb. max rpm 6900-7000. Both of these cams are solid flat tappets. 1st cam with meet lift rule, second is what I run now and it meets vacuum rule barely

2nd - 244 244 .500"/.500" 110 268 268 .016/.016 not sure what this one rated rpm wise

That was what I figured. I have been running second cam and it is really strong, just wanted to try first one so I don't have to worry about pulling vacuum. Didn't want to lose anything out of corner because the one I have been running has been awesome.

you would pull more about 2 more inches if the cam is advanced now if u move it to heads up and run 1.6 rockers. call lunati they help u alot but from what ive found with vacuum 110 on a 3.48 strock motor and 114 on a 3.750 run great and im getting 18-19 with both running 220-230 @50 and 440-480 lift some times more cam ant the ansewer its all combo
