SRRS Summer Showdown Finale at Wartburg JULY 3rd

It is that time of the year again. The SRRS will make their annual trip to Wartburg Speedway for the $4,000 to win event on July 3rd. This event will feature a 40 lap main event along with heat races and a Quick Dash.

Last year’s event saw Dustin Linville take the $4,000 to win top prize home. Josh Putnam was crowned the Showdown champion the same night. Both will be at Wartburg to try and repeat last year’s feat.

Michael Page, Riley Hickman, Dane Dacus, Jackie Boggs, and Chad Ogle are already winners on the SRRS tour this season.

SRRS title contender Jason Welshan will be in attendance as he tries to strengthen his points lead over 2011 SRRS champion Josh Putnam. Rookie of the Year competitor Ryan King is also looking to gain some points on Putnam and Welshan .

The Southern Regional Racing Series will be collecting money for the Jason M. Neely Foundation Race 2 Cure Parkinson’s at the Showdown events this season. Please donate what you can. Donation jars will be set up at SRRS souvenir table. Any amount of money is welcomed.

This event will also feature mod lites, sportsman, super street, and open wheel.

Pit gates are set to open at 2PM with grandstands set to open at 4PM. Hot laps are scheduled to start at 7:30 PM
