    Lake Cumberland Speedway Back in Action with Full Racing Program on Saturday July 6

    Burnside, KY-July 2, 2013- After taking last weekend off, Lake Cumberland Speedway track promoter Brandon Hardgrove and staff will again present a full racing program for all divisions at the 3/8 mile clay oval track known as “The House of Hardcore Mayhem” on Saturday evening July 6

    The Saturday July 6 racing program will feature Super Late Models in competition in a 25 lap feature event that will pay $1,000 to the winner, along with the Modifieds racing for $600 to win in a 20 lap feature contest. All other divisions will also be in action on Saturday July 6 as Road Hogs will race for $300 to win in a 15 lap feature and Four Cylinders will race for $150 to win in a 10 lap feature.

    Activities for the Saturday July 6 racing event will see the pit area and general admission areas at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m., while practice laps will begin at 7:30 p.m. Time trials will take place beginning at 8:00 p.m., with racing taking the green flag at 8:30 p.m. All times are EDT. Ticket prices for the Saturday July 6 event in the general admission area will be $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, while children ages 5 and under are admitted free. A pit pass will be $30.

    Lake Cumberland Speedway last raced on Saturday June 22 and feature event winners included Tim Tungate of Campbellsville, KY in Super Late Models, Tommy Gregory of Monticello, KY in Modifieds, Tim McMullin of Bronston, KY in Road Hogs, and Charles Burton of Somerset, KY in Four Cylinders.

    Lake Cumberland Speedway is located at 1 Racetrack Road, just outside of Burnside, KY, just past the entrance to General Burnside Island State Park. Brandon Hardgrove is the track promoter and presents dirt track racing entertainment on Saturday evenings. The track is located on Racetrack Road off of US Hwy. 127 South, only about five miles south of Somerset, KY.
