Hope for Harlie Event for Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Cedar Ridge July 13

Glasgow, KY-July 7, 2013- After two weekends off, the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is set to return to action on Saturday July 13 at Cedar Ridge Speedway in Morgantown, KY for the Hope for Harlie Benefit Event that will pay $3,000 to win and $225 to start.

The Hope for Harlie event at Cedar Ridge Speedway is a benefit event to help raise money for a special six-year old young lady who is battling cancer. There will be a special 50/50 ticket raffle and Hope for Harlie t-shirts will also be available at this event, with all proceeds going to help offset medical expenses for Ms. Harlie. There will also be a big fireworks display at intermission at well at this event.

On Saturday July 13 the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be in competition at Cedar Ridge Speedway in Morgantown, KY. The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will present a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the $3,000 to win/$225 to start A-Main event. Also on the racing card with the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Cedar Ridge Speedway on Saturday July 13 will be the track’s Limited Late Model, Street Stock, Cruiser, Mini Stock, and Rusty Bolts divisions.

Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Cedar Ridge Speedway on Saturday July 13 will see the pit area open and general admission area open at 3:00 p.m. The pill draw closes at 6:15, with the drivers meeting taking place at 6:15 p.m., with practice laps set to begin at 6:30 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing. All times listed are CDT. Ticket prices for the July 13 Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Cedar Ridge Speedway in the general admission area will be $10 for adults, children ages 6 to 12 will be $2, children ages 5 and under will be free, while a pit pass will be $30.

This will be the second appearance at Cedar Ridge Speedway by the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in 2013 as Will Krup of Mount Carmel, IN won the series previous visit to Cedar Ridge back on May 18 and picked up $1,500 for his victory in an event that drew 39 entries.
