Jamaica, VA – Every time the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series has visited Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway the action has been unbelievable in more ways than one. The first two visits to the ½ mile speed plant located in Jamaica, VA two and three wide racing has been the norm rather than the exception when the series returns and on Saturday July 13th the stakes get a little higher. This year the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Tour will sanction the 34th Annual USA 100, one of the longest running late model events in the country.

Ever since the May 18th rain-out drivers up and down the East Coast have been anxious to get back to Virginia Motor Speedway to see who will hoist the coveted eagle trophy in victory lane and add there name to the list of dirt track royalty.

The event will pay $10,000 to win and continue with the fan friendly format of two twenty-five lap qualifying races to make it into the fifty lap “A” main.

The driver’s from the South will have their hands full with a tough contingent of Mid-Atlantic hot-shoes. This is sure to turn into an epic North versus South event once again.

Virginia Motor Speedway and ULTIMATE series officials expect the pits to be overflowing with Super Late Models as teams flock to Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway for this special event.

Fans will also see the track’s Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified and Collision One Limited Stock Car divisions in Virginia Army National Guard Dirt Series action.

Competitor gates for Saturday May 18th will open at 4pm with spectator gates opening at 5pm. On track activities will begin at 6:30 pm with hot laps.

Divisions scheduled to race on Saturday May 18th: ULTIMATE Super Late Models (50 Lap Feature); Truckin Thunder Sportsman (25 Laps); Budweiser Modifieds (25 Laps) and Collision One Limited Stock Cars (20 Laps). ULTIMATE Super Late Models will run qualifying; two 25 lap qualifying races and Feature. All track divisions will run Hot Lap Time Trials and Features.

Adult tickets are just $18; seniors (60+) $15; military $12; students 13 – 17 years old $8; children 7 – 12 years old $4; and children 6 and under free. Pit passes will be $25. All tickets will be sold day of event.

16” coolers are welcomed but no glass is allowed. There is plenty of free lit parking and camping (no hookups) is allowed at no charge on a first come first served basis.

To enhance the fans racing experience the speedway has installed a short wave FM transmitter and all of the evening’s action can be heard at 95.5 FM. So bring your portable radio headset and enjoy hearing all the action.

Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway, an ASA affiliate track, is a ½ mile dirt oval track and located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in Jamaica, VA.
