Richmond, KY – Richmond Raceway Promoters are preparing for the biggest event of the season; the 26th Annual Paul Butterball™ Wooldridge Memorial, on Saturday July 20th. For the first time ever the event is paying $7500 to win and $750 to start. Tax Wise Open Wheel Modifieds will be racing for $1000 to win and Sportsman will be racing for a $600 payday.

Big name drivers from all over the east coast are expected to be in attendance. Be sure to come out to Butterball™ to see if the two time defending champion, Josh McGuire, can make it three in row or if someone will triumph over him.

Also up for grabs is a $100 hard charger award for Late Models, Modifieds and Sportsman classes from Hager Cabinets and Building Supplies, your one stop shop in Richmond, KY for your building needs. As well as another award of $100 going to the fastest qualifier in the late model division from Frank Revel of Revelution Chassis, Richmond, KY.

Gates in the grandstand area open at 5:00, admission prices for this weekend are $25 for adults, children 6-12 are $5 and kids 5 and under are FREE! On the pit side the gates open at 3:30. Admission prices are still FREE to children 5 and under, $10 for kids 6-12, and $40 for ages 13 and up. Pill draw ends promptly at 6:00 with the drivers meeting set for 6:30 and hot laps shortly after. Raceceivers are mandatory for every driver in all divisions at Richmond Raceway. These will be checked randomly throughout the evening.

Late Model drivers be sure to sign in with the Richmond Raceway Officials as usual to fill out driver information cards and 1099 information as well as Professional Motorsports Officials to receive your scoring transponder. The entry fee for Butterball™ is $100. This fee includes your transponder rental however they will still have to have a credit card on file or a deposit to ensure you return their undamaged equipment. $50 tow money will be paid to drivers not transferring to the A-main but participating in the consolation races. Random tire sampling will be done throughout the night. Richmond Raceway officials will retain the winner’s purse and any other racer’s tires they randomly sample until results from the sample are received from the lab. Tire rule is open front and hard rear in the late model class.
