Lake Cumberland Speedway $1,500 to win for Super Late Models on August 24

Burnside, KY-August 21, 2013- Lake Cumberland Speedway track promoter Brandon Hardgrove is to present another racing program of action this Saturday evening August 24 as Super Late Models will race for $1,500 to win, plus all other divisions will be in action as well at the 3/8 mile semi-banked clay oval located just a few minutes south of Somerset, KY.

Of note, the double features for the Modified and Sportsman divisions were rained out on August 17 have been set to run on Saturday September 14. There will be no stock car racing at the track on August 31 or September 7, but there will be demolition derbies at the track on both those evenings.

The Saturday August 24 racing program at Lake Cumberland Speedway will include a full program of racing action, featuring Super Late Models in competition in a $1,500 to win main event, while Modifieds will also be on the racing docket as well, racing for $500 to win. Also on the racing card on Saturday August 24 will be the Sportsman division (Ponderosa Speedway rules) paying $300 to win and Four Cylinders will race for $150 to win.

Activities for the Saturday August 24 racing event will see the pit area and general admission areas open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m., while practice laps will begin at 7:30 p.m. Time trials will take place beginning at 8:00 p.m., with racing taking the green flag at 8:30 p.m. All times are EDT.

Lake Cumberland Speedway last raced on Saturday August 17 and feature event winners that evening included Dustin Neat of Dunnville, KY in Super Late Models, while the Modified and Sportsman features were rained out and will be contested on Saturday September 14.

Lake Cumberland Speedway is located at 1 Racetrack Road, just outside of Burnside, KY, just past the entrance to General Burnside Island State Park. Brandon Hardgrove is the track promoter and presents dirt track racing entertainment on Saturday evenings. The track is located on Racetrack Road off of US Hwy. 127 South, only about five miles south of Somerset, KY.
