Rick Scheffler grabbed the lead on lap 5 and never looked back winning the season finale at the Manitowoc Oval. Russ Scheffler was declared the track Champion by 2 points over Tim Buhler. Russ was out of town but a track rule allows some one else to drive the car and still collect points. So Russ's nephew Mitch McGrath piloted his car to a 2nd place finish to secure the championship.

The rule to drive someone else's car for points is just wrong. You can't make it then that's just too bad. Not fair to the drivers that do show up. The rule needs to be changed.
