FASTRAK Double Header Returns to Lavonia, GA Speedway’s Georgia State Championships

(Carnesville, Georgia) – The Lavonia Speedway & Entertainment Complex located in the “Peach State” of Georgia is set to return its big fall spectacular the “GA State Championships”. The 2013 edition is defiantly going to be an event that you don’t want to miss this weekend September 13th and 14th for the FASTRAK Racing Series in a double header weekend extravaganza around the 3/8th mile speed-plant nestled a short drive off I-85. The battle for the championship in the 2013 FASTRAK City Chevrolet Southeast/Mideast Touring Division is coming down to the wire between David Smith and Ron Parker as the race season quickly culminates for the $250K FASTRAK World Championship II at Beckley, WV October 3rd, 4th, and 5th.


It kicks off on Friday September 13th with the continuation of the July 6th postponed 2nd Annual Charlie Mize Memorial race paying $2,000 to win. The race was stopped after heavy rains fell on Saturday night forcing the event to continue this Friday. The 24 drivers that we’re locked in the July 6th feature will only compete and it will resume from lap 4. The driver from Salem, Alabama #00 Richie Stephens was leading the way in what was also his 1st ever FASTRAK event. Can he pull the upset and continue where he left off in July??


Saturday night September 14th will be the GA State Championships paying $3,000 to the winner who can tame the small town gem that has had a tremendous rebirth in 2013 under the direction of Max King, Stan Lester and Brad York. In addition the Saturday $3K to win event for the FASTRAK Racing Series will be “topless” meaning the roofs will be off the cars which is always a treat for the fans to see their favorite drivers negotiate around the 3/8th mile clay oval.


On Saturday night the sister series of FASTRAK the ULTIMATE Super Late Models Series will be in action racing “topless” also paying $4,000 to win and the Southeastern Late Model Sportsman Series will also be in action “topless” paying $1,500 to win. There will also be BIG money up for grabs to the other Lavonia classes competing this weekend.
