Fairbury Speedway Extends Season Into September

Due to the five rainouts that FALS has had to endure, the season has been extended by two events.On September 14th, the track will host a Regular Night of Racing featuring the finale of the Alkota "Keep it Clean" Series. Jeff Curl currently leads the Alkota standings by 10 points over Alex Clubb, Lance Dehm, and Scott Bull, with Dustin Mounce 15 points back in fifth. The driver with the highest combined points total of the four series events will win a new Alkota hot water pressure washer (retail value over $3,100). Second place will receive a 55 gallon drum of car cleaning soap. Thanks to Rural Route Repair of Dana and M and M Pump of Clinton for sponsoring this mini-series. The UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsman, and UMP Street Stocks will all be in action Saturday night.Then on September 21st, the season concludes with a Regular Night of Racing featuring the UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsman, and UMP Street Stocks.The speedway is located three blocks south of U.S. 24 on 3rd St. in Fairbury, IL (at the fairgrounds).
