Booper Bare Sets Fast Time

Brinkleyville, NC; Monster Dirt Madness at Clary’s Speedway was kicked off Friday with over 100 cars in the pits. The night’s activities would be centered on trying to make the 20 car starting field. With 37 C J Auto Used Parts Late Models in the Pits, teams were looking for a good qualifying time to get them up front for their heat races as the Top 3 from each of the 4 heats races would lock in.

Rockbridge Baths. Virginia driver Booper Bare would top the speed charts by a mere 3/100ths of a second over Scott Adams of Chesterfield, Virginia to garb the $200 Fast Time award courtesy of County Line Speedway of Elm City, NC. Heat races fans would see some exciting racing as drivers mixed it up vying for a top 3 finish.

NC Boat Brokers Modifieds would have 22 cars take time trials with West Virginia’s Tyler Evans setting fast time to pick up $100 fast time bonus from Erwin Racing Supply!
With 2 cars having problems during qualifying, (one blown motor and one hitting the wall), The Starting field was set by time trials. Evans and Chris Parker will be on the front row in tonight’s $2,000 to win event!

In other qualifying, it was Dan Blaylock setting fast time in the North Carolina Iron Works “Dash for Cash” picking up a $50 bonus from C&W Racing. In Super Stock $ Cylinders Nevin Twiddy was quickest earning $50 bonus from Kelly’s Karz of Garner, NC.

Friday night saw feature events for Pure Stock 4’s, Pure Stock V-8’s and U-Cars.
If fans were let down by the lack of U-Cars in the pits they surely were excited by the show put on during the race. With drivers swapping the lead throughout the 15 lap feature! David Schwarn and Tommy Weese swapped the top spot 3 times in the last 2 laps with Weese picking up the win and the $500 top prize. Schwarn, Danny Redmond, Andy Taylor, Nate Porter and Sean Waters rounded out the field.

In Pure Stock V-8’s Dustin Watkins picked up a $100 for setting fast time but it wouldn’t translate into a win. Watkins and early race leader Bubba Harris made contact and resulting and spinning and both cars going to the rear of the field. On the restart it would be Been Boone out front with pressure from Jimmy Gray. Boone would hold on for the win followed by Gray, Bobby Munn, Watkins, Dylan Cooke, Wade Farrell, Travis Wade, Joe Taylor and Harris.
In Pure Stock 4 Cylinders the win would go to Michael Webb followed by Eric Hill, Lee Hardie, Damien Bryant Joey Morgan, Bobby Crawford, Joseph Falkner, Jamie Sills, Larry Morgan, Gary Dillon, Brent Atkinson and Daniel Hill.

Action will resume tonight with 2 consi’s for the Late Models and 4 feature events. There will be Halloween Costume contest, Kids Bike give-away and a lot more! Pit Gates open at 1pm and Grandstands at 3pm with Hot Laps at 5:45pm so grab a friend and head to Clary’s Speedway for Racing Excitement on “The Ring of Fire”
