Default $10K-To-Win World Championship Race 2013 Grand Finale For NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS

CARTERSVILLE, GA – The $10,000-to-win 100-lap 9th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL on November 21-23 will be the grand finale of the 2013 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division. Series officials are expecting a record field of all-star cars and drivers from throughout the country.

Last year’s race featured two and three-wide racing around the challenging confines of Bubba Raceway Park. National star Don O’Neal of Martinsville, IN and Florida ace Mark Whitener of Middleburg, FL waged a paint-swapping, sheet metal-trading war, but it was hometown hero Ivedent Lloyd Jr. of Ocala, FL winning the battle.

Lloyd joined an impressive list of Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race past winners that include Jimmy Owens of Newport, TN (2005 and 2007), Randy Korte of Highland, IL (2006), Shannon Buckingham of Morristown, TN (2008), Tim McCreadie of Watertown, NY (2009), Doug Horton of Bruceton Mills, WV (2010), and Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, GA (2011).

The on track action for the 9th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race will begin on Thursday night, November 21 with an open practice session at Bubba Raceway Park. The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division will compete in Qualifying and Heat Races on Friday night, November 22 to set the front half of the 100-lap main event starting field.

On Saturday night, November 23, the action will begin with B-Main Races to fill the back half of the 9th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race. That will be followed by the $10,000-to-win 100-lap main event.

Bubba Raceway Park is located north of Ocala, FL at 9050 N.W. Gainesville Road, Ocala, FL 34482. For more information call 352-622-9400, or visit the track web site at www.bubbaracewaypark.com and on Facebook at Bubba Raceway Park.

Sad to report that there is a few teams that won't be there because Bubba Clem banned the #02 Keith Nosbisch because a crew member of his posted a pic of a sloppy ( Ungraded ) racetrack two weeks ago and Bubba got his feelings hurt ! Teams that WON'T be there, #02 Keith Nosbisch, #12 Jack Nosbisch Jr, #11J Jamie Slatton, #07 Doug Watson, #21P Josh Pea(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word),, there are more but here is 5 teams (25 or so People ) that are in protest of Bubba's actions in barring the #02, Hope to Race with Nesmith series down the road. Bubba says the guy blamed him for the rain Saturday afternoon, WRONG, problem was track was NOT graded until after the heat races causing tore up racecars !

Sounds like to me the other guys dont have the balls to show up. The only one that could have a chance would be Keith or Jackie for the win. Bubba cannot control the weather, it rain plain and simple. Oh wait the pretty boys wouldnt go out and pack the track in like what was asked of all the drivers. We all race on the dirt get ur ass out their and pack the track in and stop crying like the crew member of Keiths

I dont really know any of those guys listed other than seeing them race. I was there the night that all this went down. I thought the track, given the conditions was very raceable. My problem is we brag about having these tarps and will never rain out again. They said it rained at 3:30 that day, when I got there at 5 there were 3 football fields worth of tarps in the infields and were never on the track that day. So why even invest in tarps if your not going to use them? or why not pull out a phone and look at radar, they had to know rain was coming. We would not even be talking about this had that been done. Then at 5 pull them off and do your final packing sessions. No racers have to waste $9/gallon fuel because of stupidity.

Now i dont agree with posting stuff on facebook and bashing tracks. but bubba has got to have thicker skin than that. his car counts are way down in every class, and i believe its because of these reasons. He just won his case against mj claiming freedom of speech, but the first time someone uses it against him, we ban them?
