    Default Aluminum driveshaft shortening

    Anyone have a recommendation. Need mine shortened 2". I want to compare price of shortening to buying new. Any help is appreciated.

    Much cheaper to get one shortened. Seems like one I used to have was about $125 to shorten vs. $400 new.

    I had one shortened and balanced by a shop in indy,, broke at their weld after one year of use.. I'm buying new in the future..

    When done correctly their will be no difference in strength. It's best done on a lathe where you can part in the right place and Tig. Takes less than an hour from clean up to finish.

    Have it shortened there has been thousands of them ran that way if it's welded right no problem.
