Fox claimed that he was sympathetic to progressive politics. Here a passage from Wikipedia to affirm that stance:

    Politics

Vonnegut was deeply influenced by early Socialist labor leaders, especially Indiana natives Powers Hapgood and Eugene V. Debs, and he frequently quoted them in his work. He named characters after both Debs (Eugene Debs Hartke in Hocus Pocus and Eugene Debs Metzger in Deadeye (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)) and Russian Communist leader Leon Trotsky (Leon Trotsky Trout in Galápagos). He was a lifetime member of the American Civil Liberties Union and was featured in a print advertisement for them.

Now you show me something that Fox got wrong.

All the politicans in DC are to blame as well. Free trade is great when it works both ways. China puts large tariffs on our goods to China, we should do the same with there products. China regulations are much less restrictive then here in America. I believe the EPA is one of the largest job killers in America, because of the regulations they impose.
what auto maker didn't take a bailout loan? and the UAW helped bail them all out so the unions in the auto makers case wasn't all bad. If you think a single auto maker didn't take a bailout loan you are wrong everyone of them got billions even some you've probably never heard of!

I agree with a lot of what you said and yes the unions do have to take some of the blame but, not all the blame like some on here what us to believe. I believe you are talking about Ford when you say one of the companies that did to take a bailout. I was in favor of the bailout at first but, later changed my mind. I don't think the automobiles industry or even the banks should not have received a bailout. I also agree with you about putting tariffs on china like they do us. I also agree the EPA could possibly loosen some rules but, not to where these companies can harm the environment like what happened in West Virginia.

I know but facts are facts no matter how you word it. he11 they sold and refinanced everything, I will say on their behalf the guy they hired from I believe wells fargo saw the crash coming in 06 and got them started on the big sell off and refinancing, Ford was right beside the rest in front of congress asking for help and pulled back near the end to make the side deal with the DOE for a little less than they had asked for but had a much later pay back date.they were not the only ones to take money from the DOE but to say they got NO bailout is wrong.

those that say they love Ford but hate unions should remember if guys like henry Ford wouldn't have beaten their employees or used arm guards to force employees to do things that were unsafe maybe the union idea would have never took hold.

Yeah I read on Forbes website that says they did received 5.9 million.
Yeah All you need to do is watch the mini series The Men Who Built America to know why the unions were formed.

That's all that Fox was able to get right. I don't think you get the point of that specific video. The "news" anchors then go on to trash the man. So how "right" is that? Because he supports progressive views it's ok to trash the man? The kicker is the end when the anchor says "Since you told your kids not to, I will". How classy is that. Then again, s*it sells.
Curious that we spend more time congratulating people who have succeeded than encouraging people who have not.

So you're not going to answer the question, just bypass because you can't figure out what to say? At least 15D is able to have a debate without being a total douchebag.

The men who built america was interesting. I never said unions did not have a place and time. Fords 5.9 million to the billions GMC and Chrysler?? Why are they anybail outs at all??? Corp welfare is as bad as personal welfare.
Accidents happen. WV will recover. My question is why the chemicals were needed in the first place to clean coal. Oh I know it was EPA mandate! Does China clean their coal before its burned???

You should be the last one to come on here and talk about people getting defensive because when you do you start calling people names like a immature teenager.

that was 5.9 billion with a B. ever hear of a river in ohio that cot on fire due to all the chemicals large corp. had been dumping in it. how about towns all over this country now that can light their tap water on fire as it come out of the tap. maybe Huston passing LA as the worst city for smog. It's to bad the big CEO'S care more about the money Than they do about the people and ground around them but they don't and we need a way to keep them in check other wise we would be just like china used up and wasted looking all over the world for the things we need, clean water should never come second to anything !!!!!!!!!!!
