Timing chain
Can I reuse a timing set by just replacing the chain. I use cloyes billet true roller with torrington bearing.

Can I get a .005 chain and run on a std gear set. The block I am using has been align bored.

If a block is aligned bored they should not get into the block side of the housing bores. Blocks should be finished with an align hone as there are not many line boring machines that can bore all 5 journals in one set up.
.005 is done in the gears not the chain.
If this is a OEM block cam to crank center are all over the place, That why GM line bores OEM block with cam bearings in place to correct for their mistakes.

Right from Cloyes always ask for the silver chain not the black one. Don't quote me on this but I think its a 9-130
