    Default Methanol Question?

Dose anyone run a thermostat in there Methanol engine?

Last season had trouble getting up to temp 140 - 150* after feature.
No shroud fan is 1.5" away can pull the spacer out to 3" away.

Would seem easier to put a R. T-Stat in it?

    Looking for opinions.

    Thanks

We had simular issues last year and plan on running a thermostat this season. Most nights we had the radiator half covered with tape.
Seems like using a high flow thermostat woud elimanate a headache and let us concentrate on other things.

Yes. I had the same issues, though I ran a little warmer. I would suggest a 190 or 180 thermostat and if that doesn't quite get it done, wire tie a piece of aluminum in front of your shaker screen (if you have one) to cover bottom 1/3rd or a quarter of the radiator. And when the weather warms up, you can remove cover easily enough.

always run one when I ran alky.
    180º threw summer months
195º in fall and spring when it was cold.
    no holes added.
I think there should be lifeguards in the genepool.
