Default LR Shock Ahead to Behind

I run my LR shock ahead (4/4 Car), but ive seen some guys putting it behind, inside the spring, and saying they have more forward traction. I wanted to try it but was wondering what else needs to be done to make it work. Seems like there wouldnt be as much shock control with it behind for one, but not sure what else would have to change. Any Ideas? Thanks

brake floater would help a bit.
unless you are a very experienced, and good trail braker, the car will come down off throttle very fast.
I think there should be lifeguards in the genepool.

Why the quicker drop with the shock behind than in front? Is this due to the rotation of the birdcage?

Yes. Shock travel would be less than wheel travel.

Would wedge, springs, and bar angles stay the same when changing over

Is your spring in the back in both cases? Just want to make sure we are all on the same page.

Ideally, you would want a lot more compression damping and maybe a little more rebound. Otherwise, keep it pretty much the same.

so if you adjust the valving to have the same control, what's the advantage to running it behind?

Less attachments means freer movement. Also, any front shock will provide resistance to forward movement of the axle.

What are the typical numbers coil over lr behind most are running? A good base and why and what track shape along with conditions. Also divorce the rr slider front and shock behind.
When it seems all eyes are on you when you're wearing a new pair of jeans you wonder why everyone thinks you look so darn good in them. When taking them off you notice the sticker still on the pant leg.
