"WIZARD" Speedweeks Thoughts Heading into Volusia
(February 16, 2014) The Speedweeks have now completed their second week of action and most of the stars of the World of Outlaws, the Lucas series, the NDRL and many other well known drivers are now headed to Volusia for head to head battles. The Wizard sees many drivers that are still strong after two weeks of battle and some that are limping to Volusia.

Some Wizard observations at this point are that Billy Moyer despite the technical issue at East Bay is number one following 5 great races at Tampa. Less fortunate so far is Tim McCreadie who is the only driver of the 2013 Top 10 Wizard ranked drivers participating in Florida that is not in the Speedweeks top 25 at this point. Another struggling driver thus far is Vic Coffey who currently sits at 49th. Additional struggling drivers that might be of interest to fans are Justin Rattliff and Dennis Franklin who are both outside the top 50.

Other notes of interest Jimmy Owens is barely in the top 10 and John Blankenship is not. Experience is the big winner at this point as Brandon Sheppard is the only twenty-something driver in the top 15 as the haulers head to Volusia.

The Wizard will name the Speedweeks champion next week and grant all of them Dorothy's Wish to go home after a tough trip down the road. A trip that has seen some of them catch on fire; some of them demonstrate their courage; some of them use their brains to find a different way; and some of them forget to oil their joints. But all of them in the end are winners because they put themselves out there so that we can all enjoy the racing. The Wizard wishes all the drivers speed and good fortune.
