Dennis Erb, Jr. Climbs to Eighth at EAMS; Tennessee Tipoff Classic this Weekend

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Dennis Erb Racing team kicked off the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) championship chase on February 28-March 1 with the 17th Annual 'Bama Bash' at the historic East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama. The first points paying race for the NDRL gang drew a stout 38 car field, all of whom were vying for the hefty $17,017 top prize. On Friday night, Dennis Erb, Jr. started his weekend by posting the eighth quickest lap in his group during qualifying prior to finishing fifth in his stacked heat race.

Following a triumph in his B-Main on Saturday evening, Dennis started the 75-lap 'Bama Bash' from the inside of the ninth row. The Carpentersville, Illinois star drove a steady race early before pitting for new rubber around the lap thirty mark. Dennis then rallied through the talented field to earn a top ten effort in the caution-plagued event, as he crossed underneath the checkers in the eighth position. Complete results from the 'Bama Bash' weekend can be found online at www.thendrl.com.

Two more NDRL battles await the #28 team this upcoming weekend (March 7-8) in the Volunteer State of Tennessee. The Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee will play host to the ‘Tennessee Tipoff Classic,’ which features two separate one-day programs. A $7,500 payday will be on the line on Friday night, while Saturday’s weekend finale boasts a $12,500 winner’s check.
