This performance has been heralded by many as the best 7 minutes in the history of modern music. I would tend to agree.

Check out the smile on Page's face at the conclusion of the song and the nod Plant shoots Jimmy's way at the end. Both those guys knew they nailed it 'bout as good as it's possible to nail it.

Jimmy Page is, beyond a doubt, one of the 5 best guitar players there ever has been. Check the close up of his right hand and how he is using the pick between his thumb and index fingers and strumming with his middle, ring and pinky fingers. I know there are many others who have mastered this technique but every time I see someone do it successfully I'm amazed!

Day in the Life of a Preacher in the second half of the song is Roye Albrighton's most incredible guitar pieces that is second to none.

Good taste 153, I like both versions. Tom Morello is actually playing on this song with Springsteen on tour now.

I know I'm replying to my on reply. I love music and I think every late model fan has their favorite music. This is a great thread. Lets hear some of your favorites. My first was tool in Bloomington in 93. Let's hear those first concerts. I love Dinosaur Jr.
