    Default Appleton rack ratio

Anyone have experience changing the ratio on in Appleton rack I'd like to go from a 3.4 to a 3.9 is it just a simple pinion change?

I think you have to change the rack( that the pinion runs on) also

Sounds like you'd be better off just buying a new rack and selling the old one.

The change in ratio is so small I think I'll just keep it cause I know its good instead of taking a chance at picking up another used one. the cost of a new one is better spent buying new tires in my opinion just wondering where are most of the guys on this site located I don't hear much talk about the Pennsylvania tracks where I race

I had Appleton got thru my rack a couple years back and asked about changing the 3.4 to a faster ratio or a different servo. The guy at Appleton suggested a lighter servo first. They went from a .250 a .200 servo and I found the car feels a lot more responsive. It was like $430.00 for everything. Just something to think about.
