    Default Temp sender/guage location?

I have an IMCA spec engine with cooling lines front to back in intake manifold ports.
My question is can I use water pump ports for dummy light and guage locations?
Trying to avoid using the riser under thermostat housing.

If you have a spot in the heads I would use that… I don't think the H2O pump is a good place for a temp sender...

No reason not to use an adapter under the thermostat housing.Everone does.

Only reason I don't want to is it raises water neck above radiator, possibly trapping air, and intake is already plumbed front to back, so I would have to move cooling lines to adapter, and sensors to intake, not really a big deal but if I don't need to do it, I wont.

You don't need to move the lines to the adapter, just put the sensors in the adapter.
