Thread: steering rack?

    Default steering rack?

    my car is very hard to steer but dont want to give up the horse power for power steering.. it has quick steer.. what steering rack will make it easer to steer?

    remove the steering quickner
    No matter how hard you try...you cant fix stupid!!!

    If you build it right...it will turn left!!!

    i run a rack from autozone that is 2.2 turns lock to lock..no pump,no quickner(already quick with that ratio).
    No matter how hard you try...you cant fix stupid!!!

    If you build it right...it will turn left!!!

    okay thanks.. got a rack from a friend felt good off the car but steering is still tight even with it on jack stands.. I thing the u joint is putting it in a bind.

    I have an 80 Bobcat/Pinto with a 2 to 1 quickener, and no P/S. Never had it never will.. no problems

    Make sure your u joints are timed correctly on your steering shaft. It will make a big difference.
