Ponderosa Speedway Back in Action with Full Racing Program on Saturday April 12

Junction City, KY-April 6, 2014- With the 2014 season opener behind them, Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jerry Denson and staff are set for another exciting night of dirt track racing at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval better known as �Kentucky�s Baddest Bullring� with a full racing program in all divisions on Saturday April 12.

The Saturday April 12 racing program will see all five weekly divisions in action, with the Super Late Models will race for $1,000 to win, Pro Late Models will race for $500 to win (12 or more entries; $300 to win with 11 or less entries), and Modifieds will race for $700 to win. The Sportsman division will be racing for $400 to win at the season opener, while the newly added Pure Street division will race for $300 to win. RACEceivers are mandatory for all divisions and can be rented at the track at driver registration, with all drivers needing to be signed at the time for the drivers meeting that evening at 6:15 p.m.

Super Late Models (25 laps): 1st- $1,000, 2nd- $500, 3rd- $400, 4th- $375, 5th- $350, 6th- $300, 7th- $250, 8th- $200, 9th- $175, 10th- $150, 11th through 18th- $125 to start.
Pro Late Models (20 laps): (12 or more cars)- 1st- $500, 2nd- $250, 3rd- $200, 4th- $150, 5th- $125, 6th- $100, 7th- $95, 8th- $90, 9th- $85, 10th- $80, 11th through 18th- $75 to start; (11 or less entries)- 1st- $300, 2nd- $200, 3rd- $100, 4th- $90, 5th- $80, 6th through 11th- $75 to start.
Modifieds (20 laps): 1st- $700, 2nd- $350, 3rd- $250, 4th- $225, 5th- $200, 6th- $175, 7th- $150, 8th- $130, 9th- $120, 10th- $110, 11th through 18th- $100 to start.
Sportsman (20 laps): 1st- $400, 2nd- $200, 3rd- $150, 4th- $125, 5th- $100, 6th- $90, 7th- $80, 8th- $70, 9th- $60, 10th- $55, 11th through 18th- $50 to start.
Pure Street (15 laps): 1st- $300, 2nd- $100, 3rd- $90, 4th- $80, 5th- $70, 6th- $65, 7th- $60, 8th- $55, 9th- $50, 10th- $40, 11th through 18th- $30 to start.

Activities for the Saturday April 12 event will see the general admission area and pit area open at 3:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 6:15 p.m., with practice laps set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Time trials will get underway at 7:00 p.m., with racing set to take the green flag at 8:00 p.m. Ticket prices for the April 12 event in the general admission will be $15 for adults, while children ages 12 and under will be admitted FREE with a paid adult. A pit pass will be $30.

Ponderosa Speedway last raced on Saturday April 5 and feature event winners that evening included Dustin Linville of Lancaster, KY in Late Models, Elliott Despain of Campbellsville, KY in Modifieds, and Jeremy Howard of Berea, KY in Sportsman.

Ponderosa Speedway is located at 365 Phillips Lane on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, outside of Junction City, KY, just minutes from Danville, KY.
