    Default ignition coil question

All things being equal. With an all stock ignition system is there any benefit of going with a performance coil?

Yes, your stock system wasnt designed to work at extended periods over 6K. The coil cant keep up with the demand. You arent driving to the store, you are racing. Even a relatively stock motor will benefit from better ignition system. You cant get the most out of what you have if the ignition cant lite it off!

Thanks for the post. I can't run an msd box. have msd 8.8 wires, car and distributor is ford. The current coil is stock, with the nail head style attachments on top. Has a snap in deal that is super loose. So I have a new coil in my future, MSD2 good enough?
