    Question Compression question

I was reading rules for a local Pure Stock class, and one of the rules is that compression can not be over 175 Lbs. Is there a conversion to figure what that would be in normal compression numbers, for example 10 to 1??

Also, on a stock 2 or 4 barrel intake, what would be your opinion to use if you could run a Quadrajet 4 barrel or a gauge legal 4412? Thanks in advance for your thoughts....

Cranking compression has as much to do with your cam as it does with your static compression ratio. You can build a 13:1 motor with a wild cam that won't crank as much pressure as a 10:1 motor with a stock cam.

I'd run the 4bbl. Only thing is most folks don't understand how to tune a Q-jet (me included). But you can get them built for circle track use.
