Question Set up for FLORENCE SPEEDWAY KENTUCKY

Does anyone have a idea for gears? 1/2 mile for crate 604 motor. Also what can I do to improve the handle on the exit of the corner. Extreme loose

Just FYI, Florence is nowhere near 1/2 mile. Closer to 3/8 despite what they advertize.

What would be a good gear for a 604 crate?

A buddy of mine that runs supers says he runs the same gear there as he runs a Twin Cities. We run a 6.12 at Twin Cities in our crate. So do with that information what you like. I would start a little lower to stay on the safe side unless you have a chip.

415 open motor at florence on 116 fuel with 6:18 gear will crank ya at 8,000 rpm consistantly, don't know what kinda of rpm is available and safe to run on a crate engine, but if you were to call brewers auto body and talk to tony he'd prolly give ya good ball park range if not tell ya straight up what he runs in his, he's pretty good dude and helps alot of people out even the guys he runs against.
