Richmond Raceway Mothers & Others, $1,000 to win Modifieds

May 8, 2014 – Richmond, Kentucky May has finally arrived and Richmond Raceway promoters are ready for the green flag to drop on the 2014 season. Before we can do that, there is plenty of exciting news to be announced for our great fans and drivers.

Richmond Raceway is proud to welcome Waffle House and Real Country 107.5 as supporters for the coming season. If you’re at the track on a Saturday night, you’ll definitely want to make your way to either Waffle House in Richmond or the London, KY location to get a free drink by presenting your race ticket and/or armband. We are excited to introduce the $100 Hager Cabinets and Building Supplies Fast Time Award, as well as the $100 Art Attack Hard Charger Award for every B.O.S.S. Late Models race this season. The Fastrak Racing Series points champion will be a big winner this year, as they will be earning $1,000 off of a CVR chassis!

To start the season off in true Richmond Raceway fashion, Saturday, May 10 we will be honoring mothers. Women in attendance will be eligible for prize drawings throughout the evening. Modifieds will be racing for a $1,000 winner’s purse and the Sportsman and Four Cylinders will also be in action. Prices for this event are $10 for ages 13 and up, $3 for ages 6-12 and 5 and under are admitted FREE in the grandstands. Pit passes will be $25 for ages 13 and up, $5 for ages 6-12 and FREE to ages 5 and under.

Also don’t forget to mark your calendar for the 4th Annual Rain Dodger 40 that will be taking place next Saturday, May 17. This race is particularly special because it’s not only debuting the talented drivers that will be following the new Battle of the Super Series (B.O.S.S.) but all high school students will be admitted to the grandstands for FREE!!

Drivers be sure to get to the draw line quickly. Every driver must have a driver card and W-9 form filled out prior to receiving any winning money. These documents can also be found on the website. You can print them out and have them ready if so you can avoid the long lines at the track.
