Tie Rod/Rack and Pinion?

I had a car slide up into my left front tire over the weekend and it bent the tie rod and locked up the steering. Can I just replace the tie rod or does the whole rack and pinion assembly likely need to be replaced? It's a 1990 Mustang if that helps.

Remove the tierods & see if the rack itself is locked up. If it was a hard hit I would replace it.
