You measure it by drawing a line from the front upper a arm attachment point to the rear through the middle of the hiems then you measure how many degrees the rear is lower that the front (antidive) or the front lower than the rear (pro dive). It only affects the car while on the brakes. It keeps the car from diving on that tire (antidive) while on the brakes. Or vice versa. This is only a fine tuning tool.
