    Default Bellhousing Depth.

I feel like this is a dumb question, but here goes. I have a Bert Bellhousing, and a ballspline trans. It seems like the trans input shaft bottoms out before the trans is up flush against the bellsousing.

what am I doing wrong here? Is there a different depth bellhousing? Can my input shaft be too long?

Do you have the midplate between the block and bellhousing?

I do have the midplate. Standard type. About 1/4"-3/8" thick. I have about 3/4" of spacer between the transmission and the bell. The round flange on the trans is nowhere near inside the bell like it should be.
