    11:30 a.m. – VIP Reception: “An Afternoon with Jimmy Owens” (in the museum’s second floor conference center)
    National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee and award-winning journalist Dave Argabright will interview veteran dirt late model racer Jimmy Owens about his life and career. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear Jimmy Owens talk about life on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series from that sanction’s own television reporter.

    1:30 p.m. – Late Model 101: “On Top of The World: The Life & Times of a Racing Pioneer” Book-Signing with Larry Moore & Dave Argabright (in the museum’s second floor conference center)
    2001 inaugural National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame inductee Larry Moore will be on hand signing copies of his “On Top of The World: The Life & Times of a Racing Pioneer” book with co-author Dave Argabright on the second floor of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum. The book covers Larry Moore’s illustrious career on the asphalt and dirt ovals, including documenting the origins and history of the sport of dirt late model racing.

    Saturday, September 27

    12 Noon – Knoxville Dirt Late Model Memorabilia Auction (in the museum’s second floor conference center)
    A live auction of unique, autographed memorabilia from the worlds of Lucas Oil and WoO dirt late model racing, WoO sprint car racing, NASCAR stock car racing, Indy Car racing and NHRA drag racing. Emceed by Kathy Krafka Harkema and auctioneered by veteran late model driver and owner Lynn Richard, you’ll want to take in this fun event and relive the stories and memories as you can bid on autographed dirt late model body panels, die-cast and apparel at reasonable prices! Do your Christmas shopping early and help two great causes (National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum and National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame).

    3 p.m. - Late Model 101: “An Afternoon with Eight Iowa Legends” (in the museum’s second floor conference center)
    National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame induction director and race historian Bob Markos, with his son, Bobby Markos, Jr., and historian/friend Lee Ackerman, will emcee the candid conversation with Verlin Eaker, Curt Hansen, Tom Hearst, Fred Horn, Joe Merryfield, Ed Sanger, Ken Walton and Gary Webb. Relive their remarkable racing careers, as they recall some of their favorite events, share incredible racing stories and sign autographs

    2 p.m. – Stocksville Reunion: “Donny Schatz” (in the second floor conference center)
    Long-time Knoxville Raceway announcer Tony Bokhoven will interview eight-time Knoxville Sprint Car Nationals champion Donny Schatz about his life and career, including his infrequent forays into dirt late model racing. This will be a great kick-off event for the three-day show.
