    Default 2.3L roller head info

I am buying a totally stock OEM untouched roller head. Can I use those stock lifters & roller followers with a bigger lift cam for racing & expect it to live very long or be competitive? Thought some were doing this a few years back & not sure if it can be done or not. Trying to keep cost down and not build a grenade at the same time. I usually only turn low-mid 7K range on the track. Looking for an option other than hyd. setup. Thanks for any info.

depends on how much bigger the cam is,and if it was designed for hydraulic lifters
No matter how hard you try...you cant fix stupid!!!

If you build it right...it will turn left!!!

The cam I'm considering is advertised as hyd. roller. Clevite 229-2047 cam w/.479 lift. This would be going into my D9 oval port head. I usually turn 72-7500 RPMs.
