    Default cam degree tools

Hi I would like ma little info on the digital cam degreeing tools. Altronics has one that says you can measure the duration with it. is it accurate and is this something that would be worth having as a home engine builder?

I personally don't know anything about it...It would have to be really something to replace what a degree wheel can do for you...

You can measure the duration with any degree wheel of decent size and a normal dial indicator setup...Get your self the big 18" Moroso Pro wheel, a nice degree wheel/crank turning hub, a magnetic dial indicator stand and a standard 1" travel gauge. Digital would be some what of a pain trying to creep up on your lift measurments when checking ICL and duration...With these you can check your lift, ICL, duration, and even lobe separation.
