Southern All Star Return To Talladega Short Track For NASCAR Weekend

FAYETTEVILLE, TN--The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series will be back in action Saturday night October 18th at the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL., for a 40 lap $4,000 to win event as part of the annual NASCAR Weekend at the 1/3 mile clay oval located across the street from Talladega Superspeedway.

The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series has ran three events so far this year at Talladega Short Track and the Tennessee drivers have been the cars to beat as Todd Morrow of East Ridge, TN., has scored two win and Randy Weaver of Crossville, TN., took the last win. Both these drivers should be in action this weekend along with many top super late model drivers across the southeast including current points leader
Riley Hickman of Cleveland, TN., current Cruise With The Champions/DirtonDirt rookie of the Year leader Chris Wilson of Crossville, TN., Josh Putnam of Florence, AL., Dylan Ames of Harvest, AL., Ray Cook of Brasstown, NC., Joe Armistead of Senoia, GA., Tom Maddox of Centre, AL., Josh Adkins of Talladega, AL., Brandon Kinzer of Allen, KY., David Seibers of Petersburg, TN., Aaron Ridley of Chatsworth, GA., Dingus Griffin of Ohatchee, AL., plus many more.

Action gets underway on Friday night with a $2,000 to win unsanctioned event along with a full racing program then on Saturday the Southern All Star portion of the program will consist of White Performance Group Qualifying, PPM Racing Products B Mains along with the 40 lap $4,000 to win Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series main event.

Also announced for this weekend any driver that finishes in the top five at the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series event at Talladega NASCAR weekend and competes in the Deep Fried 75 at the Duck River Speedway on Nov 13-15 and wins the race will also receive a $500 bonus.

Pit gates will open at 3 pm with drives meeting set for 6pm with hot laps getting underway immediately after drivers meeting.
