Billy Moyer Readies for Charlotte After Top Five Effort in Fall Classic

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) traveled to Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi over the October 24-25 weekend for the 20th Annual Coors Light 'Fall Classic.' The unsanctioned mega-event drew 48 competitors to the 3/8-mile oval to vie for the $15,000 winner's check. Billy Moyer qualified well on Friday night and later scored the win in his heat race to earn the outside second row starting spot for Saturday's 100-lapper.

During the course of the 'Fall Classic,' Billy climbed to as high as second in the running order early in the distance before ultimately claiming a solid fifth place performance. The Batesville, Arkansas superstar trailed only victor Randy Weaver, Chris Simpson, Bub McCool, and Mike Marlar to the checkers. Full results from Whynot can be obtained by accessing www.whynotmotorsportspark.com.

The #21 team will enjoy the upcoming October 31-November 1 weekend off from racing action, but will be busy prepping their equipment for the ‘World of Outlaws World Finals.’ Billy will next take to the track at the pristine Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina from November 6-8. Two rounds of qualifying sessions will be held at the 4/10-mile speedplant on Thursday night, which will set the stage for both Friday and Saturday evening’s programs.

Each night, a full show consisting of heat races, consolation events, and a 50-lap headliner will thrill the standing-room-only crowd. The final two events on the World of Outlaws Late Model Series calendar will each pay $12,000 to the victor.
