CARTERSVILLE, GA – The date has been set for the 10th Annual NeSmith Racing Awards Banquet. The Georgia Racing Hall of Fame in Dawsonville, GA will host the banquet on Saturday night, January 24, 2015. The Top 10 drivers in the four NeSmith Racing Divisions will be honored and will receive their trophies and point fund checks that will total over $75,000.

National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame Inductee Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN will take to the stage twice to receive his second straight $20,000 check for winning the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Championship, and a $10,000 check for winning the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series title.

Chris Noah of Rainbow City, AL will be honored as the 2014 NeSmith Late Model Rookie of the Year, and he has also clinched the second spot in the point standings. In addition to his point fund money, Noah will also receive a check for the Rookie of the Year Award.

The third through tenth spots in the points chase will be determined in the final race of the season with the $10,000-to-win 100-lap 10th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL on November 20-22. The 2014 NeSmith Late Model Chassis Manufacturers Challenge Champion will also be decided at BRP.

Chris Holley of Dayton, TX will be presented a $10,000 check for winning the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series National Championship after turning in a perfect season with 15 victories. Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS will be honored as the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock National Champion Presented By AR Bodies and receive a $2,000 check.

Also being honored among the Top 10 in the 2014 Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series point standings will be second-place Tyler Crowder of Lamont, FL, third-place Jake Knowles of Tyrone, GA, fourth-place Jacob Grizzle of Blairsville, GA, fifth-place and Cruise With The Champions Rookie of the Year Brent Barrett of Cleveland, MS, sixth-place Jadon Frame of Winchester, TN, seventh-place Mark Dowdy of Waterloo, AL, eighth-place Lavon Sparks of Phenix City, AL, ninth-place Tim Busha of Boaz, AL, and tenth-place Chase Edge of LaFayette, AL.

Joining Holley as NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series honorees will be second-place Mike Palasini Jr. of Leland, MS, third-place Delbert Smith of Wichita, KS, fourth-place Ryan King of Seymour, TN, fifth-place Michael Arnold of Hattiesburg, MS, sixth-place Adam Gauldin of Talladega, AL, seventh-place Rusty Ballenger of Sevierville, TN, eighth-place Chris Kratzer of Haysville, KS, ninth-place Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS and tenth-place Daniel Bridgmon of Meridian, MS.

The father-son race car building team of Mike and Jamey Boland of Boland Performance in Cuba, AL will take the stage at the Awards Banquet on behalf of Trak-Star Race Cars to accept their fourth NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Chassis Manufacturers Challenge Championship.

Preceding Idom to the stage to accept their awards in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division will be second-place Larry Faulk of Pace, FL, third-place Trey Bright of Coker, AL, fourth-place Kevin Whittington of Brandon, MS, fifth-place David Windham of Florala, AL, sixth-place Branden Harris of Molino, FL, seventh-place Doug Lea of Milton, FL, eighth-place Brandon Leftwich of Meridian, MS, ninth-place Dean Shaw of Defuniak Springs, FL, and tenth-place Jay Geddie of Ellisville, MS.

Other Special Awards that will be announced at the banquet include the Crew Chief of the Year Award for all four Divisions, the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Promoter of the Year Award, and the Chevrolet Performance Bob Cross Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award. NeSmith Racing Founder and CEO Mike Vaughn will also deliver the State of the Series Address.
