    Default 2300 Cylinders 2 and 3 lean?

    2300 running EFI lower intake with Holley 500cfm and 2" spacer road racing in Lemons races, car runs well finished 600 miles in 14 hours of racing.Tore motor down and 2 and 3 are showing lean and some piston damage on top edge of piston. New pistons and rings going in.Can I adjust one of the 2 jets to effect mostly the 2 middle cylinders and richen them up??Thanks for the help

    Not really. Esslinger and Race Engineering place baffles in the intake to direct fuel flow to these two cylinders to address this problem and they use cylinder temp reading to tune their baffle shape and placement.

    just a general question...what made you decide to use the EFI intake?

    I had one sitting there, the runners look equal length and people make adapters for it.

    Keep this in mind...maybe it isn't a fuel problem. Maybe it's sucking too much air on 2 and 3 , possible leaking intake gaskets?

    are you allowed to port? because the EFI intake in untouched form isnt even good enought to be a door stop

    Can you add any more intake spacer under carb? I'd switch intakes and go to the Essy intake with 1" of spacer. EFI intakes unless you weld them up and straighten the runners aren't going to work well.

    I will switch to a carbureted intakeI did a little porting to the top of the intake but not a whole bunchThanks
