Keith Jackson & Ernie Davis Team Up For 2015, After Break-out Season.

Keith Jackson Racing closes out an incredible season; will team together with noted car owner Ernie Davis for 2015.

With the temperature across the Mid-Atlantic dropping into a range that is suitable only for penguins, it is safe to say that the local racing season has come to an end. It is certainly not a stretch to point out that 2014 was a breakout year for 23 year old Keith Jackson. Jackson, of Odenton, Maryland debuted a Bruce Kane backed MBH on May 17th, at the Winchester Speedway in Winchester Virginia and promptly parked it in victory lane some 3 hours later. The second outing for Jackson came one week later at the Hagerstown Speedway during the running of the Ernie Jones Memorial. The result was the same, as by the end of the night; Keith and crew were having their picture taken in victory lane at the Maryland half mile. When the dust finally settled on the 2014 season, the Jackson/Kane team had “parked it” in victory lane a total of 6 times in what was just 18 starts. Keith and the team saved their best for the end of the season specials as Jackson would go on to sweep the 51st annual Winchester 200 weekend as well as beating some of the best in the business at the inaugural Ernie D’s Fall Bash. In an effort to race more, Keith and Bruce Kane have mutually decided to part ways and when the 2015 season takes the green flag, Keith will be racing a brand new MBH race car in a collaboration with respected long time car owners Ernie & Connie Davis from Martinsburg, WV.

“It was an unbelievable year and there is no way it would have happened without Bruce Kane” said Keith when reached by phone from the teams shop. “Bruce put his faith behind us and provided us with the tools we needed to compete at a high level. I was very proud and honored to be able to share this season with him. We just couldn’t race as much as I would like, and when this deal with Ernie came up it was just an opportunity I couldn’t pass on. I wish Bruce nothing but the best and much success in his racing endeavors” added Jackson.

The Davis/Jackson team will utilize Leggett Engine Research power under the hood of the potent 11J and ride on the same JDS/Penske shocks that allowed the team to visit victory lane so many times in 2014. The inner workings of the team will pretty much stays intact as a lot of the same sponsors will adorn the side of the new ride and the car will be serviced on and off the track by long time members Tom Jackson (Keith’s Dad), shock specialist James Stevens and Evan Hinkle.

“I am as excited for this racing season to start as I have ever been” stated the man known as Action to his fans. “To team up with Ernie, Connie & Keya is a dream come true. They have been teamed up with some amazing drivers and growing up as a kid that #25 was the car to beat week in and week out. Just being associated with them, I feel like Christmas came early. I also really need to thank Dale(Beitler). He is just so much more than a sponsor, his guidance on and off the track has been very important to me. It is a an honor to have his Reliable Painting on the sides of my car and a dream come true to be associated with 2 of the area’s most respected car owners. Dale, Jim(Stevens), Alan(Bradley), they all right away agreed they would help with the new team and I am so grateful that they want to be a part of this. My Dad has always been right beside me and I wouldn’t want it any other way. We debated on what kind of race car to purchase for next year but in the end we decided to stay with what was so successful for us. We are going to make this a total team effort and really try to keep up the momentum we started this year” added Keith.
