I am building a 05 cavalier for a rookie driver to drive. Any suggestions on things I can do to help handling and horsepower

Build it safe, but as light as possible, work on handling first then power as the driver gets more experience add in the power. See what others at the track are doing for tire pressures, stagger, spring rates, use the search function on this site, and take others suggestions with a grain of salt.....
