    Default 2015 UMP rules

Anyone seen the 2015 rules yet? Or do they wait to see what Scrader and Wallace bring to Florida before they print them?

Well it is 2.5 days until January and UMP has yet to let the updated rules out to the general public

Yes, ridiculous! I am relatively new to mods but keep hearing that UMP does stuff like this every year. Announces rule changes but come Florida they just let stuff go.

Kind of hard to put a body on it without new no spoiler rules.

That is just an ignorant comment. Have you ever built a car or maybe 2 for an upcoming season? I'd bet most of the cats that plan on racing in Feb are saying the same thing I am. I said new to mods, not new to big time racing.

Since we are making stupid comments, I am in the process of building a car for the upcoming season. Sitting around on my hands for the last month because we have yet to hear what the final rules on the deck and roof and the rest of the sheet-metal is going to be is absolutely ridiculous! Some of us like to get this stuff done and not just talk about it!

This sort of thing should be decided, and announced before Thanksgiving. Sitting on my hands is driving me stir crazy. I have a full time job and family. Giving me a very short window to put a car together is ridiculous.

Only changes that were told to me by Sam at UMP that pertain to the body were:
    1.no spoiler
2.Rear roof supports can be 3" tall back were spoiler used to be on full sail panel.

everything else from 2014 rules on body is the same.

    Now....get to work.....lol...
I think there should be lifeguards in the genepool.

How much arch in sails? Hearing straight down from roof, 2" inches of arch etc on sails...

I'm confused about the lower a-frame rules. It sounds like we can only use OEM stuff in the bold, but in the plaintext before that it seems like "UMP Approved" tubular aftermarket stuff is okay.

Ya, I have the same question about the lower A arms, so which manufacturers lowers are "DirtCar Approved" They dont list any, so do I have to show up to find out mine arent any good?

Sam said today that tubular lowers that are built within manufacturers oem specs will be approved but must have a sticker on them....for now. lol!

What about those that do? If UMP holds the same (ignorant) opinion that you do then why do they hold the races in FL at all?

I was a tech for UMP for a short while. Every day or week I was calling to verify and often I was told different and finally my integrity got the best of me and stopped doing it altogether.
