    Default Mason Zeigler Article

Now on TDN. Mason Zeigler took time out of his schedule to talk with our own Jerin Steele about his upcoming Rookie of the Year Campaign on the World of Outlaws LM Tour.

"We just felt like the Outlaws were the best fit for us to run our first tour," Zeigler said. "It has the around the same amount of races (as the Lucas Series), but there's a little less travel for us because there are more races closer to our area. I get along with all the officials and on a personal level they are a great group of guys."

Mason goes over his history at Roaring Knob Speedway, and his LM career to this point while describing his phenomenal 2014 season.

How is the WOO less travel than Lucas from the state of PA? Just think he sees less competition.

Pretty sure he showed last season he isn't afraid of and can run against any series competition....

mason has a much greater chance of having more success on the woo tour, no doubt about that. not taking anything away from zeigler at all, he has serious talent.

The guy can hang with anyone. If it makes more sense to him and his team, they pay the bills, that's that. After the World 100, ain't nobody gonna tell me he can't hang with anyone. Plus the runs he had on the Summer Nats, and with WoO.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

Have you actually looked at the WoO schedule vs the Lucas schedule and seen where races close to his shop outside Uniontown, PA are? The WoO has multiple swings within 5 or 6 hours from the shop. It's like over a 1/4 of the schedule. The Lucas series has significantly less races in the same area, and most of them have no conflict with the WoO so he can really run them if he wants anyways.

The series competition level is pretty even.
