Choosing the right rear gear

Getting my car back in a couple weeks. And need some help getting the proper gear. My track size is 7/16 long straight aways and tight turns. Motor is a 383 running on 29x11x15 in the rear. Motor builder suggested max rpm @7500. Which rear gear will get me where I want to be? Thanks guys

I think your best bet would be to ask some of the guys you race with that are in the same ballpark as you. Most guys are friendly enough to tell you what they run, some aren't. A lot of things like car weight, Ford 9", quick change play a factor that is hard to answer without that info. We run a 6.83 in a Ford 9" in a 3,000lb car on a 3/8th mile track and it screams.
