    Default 2014 World

Was this the best race in the history of racing? I wasn't there but watched videos of it... I'm talking in terms of shear dominance... Is there or has there been such an event of that magnitude where the competition was just non existent amongst many big names and big money. I'm sure it's been much discussed but I haven't been on here in a long time. That's just an amazing race by quite possibly the #1 dirt racer of all time. The man was so nice to me as a child, when I started racing late models and needed a rear end I called his shop and he called me right back and I talked to the man himself and he was just so friendly and outgoing. Congratulations on that dominating day Scott you deserved it! I would vote him #1 dirt driver in the nation in late models and 2nd best at Bulls gap... No one could compete with a healthy Scott sexton there.

It was impressive not doubt. It don't top the 06 world imo. Most people forget who even won that race.

Blankenship? I don't cheer for it against him... Steve smith almost won it once if I recall right and he's just a local guy.. I always cheered for billy ogle and Scott sexton at the big local races. I guess it's more significant for me bloomquist winning bc I'm a fan.

When I went to my first World 100 in 1992 Moran did or nearly did lap the field.

Moyer started 19th in 1993 and had the lead by lap 27.

As for 2014 I don't believe anyone has ever started as far back as Bloomquist did and win. Keep in mind 30/32 cars start now while back then only 24 started.

The most impressive win that I have ever seen was Kyle Berck at I80 Speedway in Nebraska several years ago. At a 50 lap WDRL race Kyle started in the back and won and lapped the field with Billy Moyer second.

That 2006 World 100 is the best race I have seen in person, period. Probably the 2 best from the back drives I have seen are the 2002 Summer Nationals race at Kentucky Lake, Moyer started 19th and passed Bloomer for the lead on lap 14, and went on to win. But topping that was Bloomer starting 24th at the Show-Me 100 in 2008, and taking the lead on lap 80 to win. I wasn't at Eldora this past year but that's impressive what he done.
