Default THREE road trips/21 days away from home TOTAL/$44,000 up for grabs!!!

    First weekend POSTPONED till April!

There is no other Modified deal that I'm aware of that pays you $5000 to win in points for a season that boils down to a ***combined 3-4 weeks total.*** Four weekends used.

On the calender, it starts in April and ends on June 27th in Lawton, Oklahoma. Now that's a short season in itself but it's really only about 21 days or so of time away from home and that's with adding a day of travel before and after the THREE road trips you have to make. That's right... JUST THREE ROAD TRIPS! A working man would need 4 weeks vacation maybe ... instead of 3 if he has a hard boss....

If all 13 races which pay $3000-to-win along with great paydowns in each one -- ALL ONE-night shows too -- get in.... the points pay $5000 to win and it'll pay down 15 spots too. Less than that may get prorated but USMTS has been more than fair on that whenever it happens IMO. At least that don't have you hold up a sign saying an amount and then pay you only half of it. That's what I mean by 'more than fair...'

Now if you are a day's drive away from north central Texas/central Oklahoma and leave home a day early and race at 3 tracks like Superbowl Speedway, RPM Speedway and Longdale Speedway on a Thur-Fri-Saturday then drive home on Sunday, you will have been gone 5 days and raced for a combined $9000 to win/$900 to start!

On April 22nd you travel to south central Oklahoma for a Thursday night, April 23rd race at Southern Oklahoma Speedway. Again, you travel back eastward ... this time to Ark-La-Tex Speedway and Boothill Speedway and end up in Shreveport, Louisiana before heading home on the 26th. 5 more days. $9000/$900 more!

Almost a 2 month break follows before the coup-de-gras...

    ***Southern Region SPEEDWEEK!***

Speedweek condenses the final 7 races of the region into a 9-day stretch. Start out leaving home on Thursday June 18th...

    .... OR ....

If you have a two week vacation and just want to race a couple more... leave home on Tuesday June 16th and race at Valley Speedway near Kansas City on Wednesday the 17th and then 81 Speedway near Wichita, Kansas on the 18th. They are Central Region races and have nothing to do with Southern Region points but they pay $3000 to win in each as well and if you possess the USMTS Southern Region license (cost is $150 and necessary to run for the $5000 championship) you can race for the higher purse amounts that licensed drivers get in those 2 Central races too. That means they will both be $300 to start for you as well just no Central Region points without a Central license is all. Each race by the way, has a $100 early entry fee for licensed drivers including these two. When finished in Wichita, you'll cross Oklahoma from north to south next...

Either way... you'll want to be in Wichita Falls, Texas for Southern Region Speedweek kick-off on Friday the 19th at Red River Speedway. From there, it's out west to Amarillo, Texas for Saturday night's show and then you'll have Sunday & Monday off. You'll need some of that time to drive to Waco, Texas for Tuesday night's race on the 23rd. Then Wednesday at the legendary Devil's Bowl Speedway and Thursday for the last race in Texas which will be in the heart of the DFW Metroplex in Grand Prairie at a track called Mountain Creek Speedway. No mountain, no creek but there is a dirt track there! Then another stop at Southern Oklahoma Speedway for Friday night's show before heading to Lawton Speedway for championship night on Saturday the 27th. That's a combined $21,000 to win barring rainouts and a minimum of $2100 if you can make all 7 A-mains!

With a travel day on Sunday the 28th, you would have been gone 11-13 days depending on which option you chose starting out. Like I said earlier, the whole Southern Region(only) maximum time from home with travel days included is 21 days/ 3 weeks! If your adding with me, that's a total of $44,000 to win ($39,000 for race wins and $5000 for points) without rainouts messing it up.

If you got better... somebody let me know where!

Well, mother nature keeps jacking with this but they keep adjusting to it... Here's the latest:

Combined $6000 to win DOUBLE HEADER weekend THIS Friday & Saturday with a much better forecast for Longdale, Oklahoma than the Dallas area has this weekend. Read more here: http://usmts.com/news/news_article.asp?NewsID=18653

RPM had to postpone till Thursday, April 23rd. Ardmore moves up to Wed, April 22nd. Still looking for another make-up date for Superbowl.

STILL STARTS a $5000 to win point fund for this region that ends on June 27th. All $3000 to win ONE-night shows over just 2 extended weekends and one 7-race, 9-day Speedweek in June. Check out the schedule below...
