MPH Formula

No problem .
Use the formula Speed = Distance divided by Time.
Distance is Track Length, multiplied by Lap Time divided into 1 Hour (3600 seconds.)
For a lap at TST (.333 miles): Speed = .333 x (3600/12.958), = .333 x 277.82065 =*** 92.514276 mph average speed***
Track Size of TST is .333
Lap Time was 12.985
3600 seconds in 1 hour

I am impressed with your formula. However you have made 1 major mistake. How are you measuring TST as a 1/3 MI. track?

The track last Saturday night was in very good shape allowing for some darn good action, Josh Atkins had a nice lead when some parts broke on his ride and had to go pit side, tough break, car was well prepared. The Limited Late Model feature was a doozy. The track in my view of attending there for now 8 years, 2 years as the announcer, the racing had been very good. The best in Alabama. In my view the 2 raciest tracks down here week in and week out are Magnolia and TST.
We did have 89 cars last week, more will enter the next few weeks. A few years ago on one hooked-up night a fan had a radar gun on Super and scanned the car at 101m.p.h. going into turn 3. TST is indeed very racy no doubt, had practice last Tuesday night and reports were that the track was as smooth as glass and multi-grooved.

There you go AGAIN stretching things all out of shape. Number 1 you have only announced at TST 1 year IF you wont to call that Chicken Clucking you do. I was right to start with TST does NOT see speeds at 100 MPH on weekly basis...HAHAHA

TST don't have much of a P.A. System THANK GOD!

You are out of line keith!

Actually what the muddy one has posted is incorrect as far as my announcing, I did a bunch of shows in 2013 as well, so it has been 2 years. Soon this poster will get the boot for the not-so-nice posts or responses. Facts before fiction sir. Wonder why this guy(if it is you-know-who) has turned from a friendly guy to nasty, especially when you have done nothing, nada, zilch, to offend or anger.

Keith, is there actually anything about dirt track racing that you don't complain about???

Just going by the Track Info they have on their website . This is copied and pasted from their site. " Track Facts: 1/3 mile high banked (18°) red clay oval with 400 ft. straightaways. The track has won National and Regional awards, including the North American Racing Insurance National Excellence in Safety Award."

I also saw that on their web-site...lol.... However if it was correctly measured 12' from the wall or outside rim it would be close to 1,320 ft. or 1/4 MI. MAYBE..lol
