Ponderosa Speedway Announces American Racer Tires Legal for Pro Late Model Division in 2015

Junction City, KY-March 19, 2015- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jerry Denson would like to announce the tire rules for the Pro Late Model division of competition at the 3/8 mile D-shaped oval known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” for the 2015 racing season.

As per the rules of the Crate American Racer Series (CARS), Ponderosa Speedway will allow competitors in the Pro Late Model division to use the Crate 44 and Crate 53 tire compounds at the track in the division for the 2015 racing season.

This will allow racers in the Pro Late Model division to utilize both the Hoosier Tire rules already in place (any Hoosier that is legal with any Pro Late Model series) and the American Racer tires if a racer chooses to equip his race car this those tires as well

Ponderosa Speedway is set to host its annual Test and Tune Open Practice day on Sunday afternoon March 22 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., followed by the track’s 2014 Celebration of Champions awards ceremony. Activities for the Test and Tune Open Practice day will see the general admission area and pit area open at Noon, with practice laps set to begin at 1:00 p.m. Admission for the Test and Tune Open Practice day will be FREE in the general admission area, while a pit pass will be $15. Admission for the awards ceremony that will follow practice will be $5 and will include a meal, followed by the awards presentation ceremony.

The track will begin its 43rd season of dirt track racing on Friday March 27 with a full program of racing for Pro Late Models, Modifieds, KDRA Super Stocks (formerly Sportsman), and Mini-Cup/Cyclones, while Super Late Models will be allowed to practice.
